Benefits of using a home stager

According to statistics, 93% of properties that used home stagers sold, on average, in one month or less. Perhaps it’s time to consider hiring a home stager.

If that’s not enough to convince you, consider this: In 2009, over 98% of buyers stated that they created their “short-list” of homes to view solely on the internet.

Here are some more reasons why enlisting the help of a home stager is ideal.

Home stagers see your home as a buyer

The problem with most homeowners is that they are unable to see their homes from a buyer’s point of view. This keeps them from optimizing their homes and placing them in a light that is attractive to potential buyers.

And considering that 95% of buyers buy on emotion, a home stager can offer some valuable insights on what it would take to make someone fall in love with your home.

Home stagers can use your furniture strategically

A 2007 Home Gain survey of 2,000 practitioners found that the return on investment from home staging was as much as 343%, so it would be ideal to leave your furniture in the hands of a home stager so that they can place your items strategically and use your space in the most optimal way.

Sometimes a simple furniture cover or moving the couch to the corner of the room can open a room up and give the illusion that it’s incredibly spacious.

Home stagers can bring useful additions to your home

If your furniture lacks a bit of, say, lustre, a home stager has the connections to rent the appropriate items and stage your home in a way that may change your mind about selling it. Okay, perhaps that’s a slight exaggeration, but you know what I’m getting at.

Home stager can get you more money

Statistically, staged homes tend to sell faster and for more money so if you want to get the most bang for your buck, keep in mind that you stand a great chance of getting your asking price without compromise when using a home stager. And that’s nothing to sneeze at.

How much do home stagers cost?

Well, there is no clear-cut answer here. Some say it’s between $200 to $3,000, others say it’s between 0.5% to 1% of the cost of your home. Shop around and find out for yourself.

I am an Interior Decorator and a home stager in Lower Mainland of Vancouver, BC. I totally agree with this blog and wish that more people will see the benefit of staging for sale of property. It is absolutely essential to let a potential buyer envision your home is a home that they can see themselves living happily in!

I used a home stager and I have to say, it was the best $500 I ever spent and garnered me thousands in return. The person who bought my home wanted it exactly the way it was!!

I am a home stager that stages homes in the Outaouais, Wakefield, Chelsea, Aylmer, Gatineau, Hull, QC and also in Central Ottawa, ON. Home staging doesn’t have to cost a fortune! I work with what you’ve got, and occasionally add some accessories. Staging your home can cost as little as $200.

  7. I am also a home stager and am in Welland On (Niagara). I would be happy to offer my services to enhance your sellers’ listings. I am experienced, humbly priced and fully insured/bonded.

  9. Hello
I am very interested in staging homes in the Edmonton area. I have noticed that alot of people on the comfree site need that objective eye to help attract buyers to their home. I also noticed that alot of people still do not know what home staging is and all the benefits that statistics have already proven over the past 10 years. With all the benefits and large savings they get by going through your company instead of paying real estate fees, they should be investing that in their home to get top value for their home; be able to sell it faster and get the marketing edge. This all can be achieved by hiring a Home Stager.
I see that you offer services in Montreal, which is great – but I do not see anything for the Edmonton area. I would like to offer my services to help the people here. My company is called Desired Effect Home Staging and Redesign. You can check me out at http://www.desiredeffect.ca.
Thank you for your time and considerations and I hope you can direct me to the authority that can answer my questions. Have a Great Day!
