    I have read, on home protection office site, what are the duties and responsibilities of the inspector when it comes to home inspection.

    It seems that his role does not entail inspection of the foundation and the park- aide of the building and even if he finds the flows he is not obliged by law to put that in his report.

    He is not even obliged to run the appliances (for example a washing machine for one or two full cycles) or to check other appliances if they work properly. He can only write down from pure observation, without touching or checking with his fingers or tools.

    He is not even allowed to check the plastic, or what is under the plastic breaker on the electric panel. He is not allowed to climb on the roof in order to inspect the roof, but rather, just to observe it from the ground with monocles’. He is not liable if he makes mistakes, or omits something that was wrong during the inspection.

    I can do better job just by touching measuring and observing, poking the creeks in the walls and floors in the park-aide to check how soft and deep they are, as well as by running the appliances.

    Tell me please what use is of such inspector, who is not even obliged to put in his Report flows that he sees let alone the flows that he couldn’t see just by pure observation. So he is doing his job just recreationally.

    How can I trust any inspector if he is not obliged to do all of the above said, that I feel I should examine and write the Report on that, if he is doing his job just recreationally?
